Family Constellation is a method of group work developed by the German therapist and philosopher Bert Hellinger in the mid-1970s. It aims to bring to light what has been suppressed, forgotten, or unwanted to see, either on a personal or trans generational level. In that way, balance and totality of the energy field is re-established, both individual and family. It brings psychological relief and moves the healing process to the level of the psyche, body and soul.

Through practice it has been shown that the method has a healing effect because it supports the healing process in various diseases.

You can choose any topic you will work on; for example: body aches (back, knees …), insomnia, internal restlessness or conflict, conflict with a person, internal blockage you want to resolve, illness, fear, physical injury, partnership, business problems, financial problems etc.

The topic you work on does NOT have to be publicly shared. In fact, when the problem arises and while the system constellation is being resolved, none of those present know the subject. This avoids intellectual analysis and leaves the opportunity to activate energy processes that will lead to conflict resolution. You are all familiar with the situations when you intellectually discuss a problem, but do not find a solution. By setting personal censorship to protect ourselves from pain, we do not see the truth, so the problem cannot even be solved and is repeated with similar scenery.

After completing the constellation you are working on, if you want you can share your topic with others. Very often, you will see that your topic is also the topic of many others, which is shown in the workshops. Knowing that we are not alone in our problem is reassuring – many others can understand us and help us.

Everyone participates in setting up family constellations, whether you set the theme or not. The roles in which you are selected are also your topic, whether you recognize it then or after.

Lidija Georgieva attended education for five years as a system therapist, with Vlado Ilic, who has worked for fifteen years in the former Yugoslavia, in Germany and the United States, and for two years with Matej Skufca from Slovenia, both direct students of Bert Hellinger.
